LOFA is originally from Denmark.
Festulolium varieties are for a majority behaving as italian rye grass or tall fescue (the parental species).
LOFA has many properties on common with an italian rye grass, in particular the very fast establishment and high forage yield in the first cut.
But what makes LOFA special is the less aggressive growth making a very good companion grass for legumes or other grass species.
LOFA shows an outstanding forage yield stability of excellent quality due his good behaviour against advers factors like drought, soil salinity, high plants density and high grazing pressure. Besides, LOFA is rust crown resistant.
LOFA is intermediate maturity. His growth is fast from early spring to ends of autumn.
